Peace House Africa's NY Chapter is spearheaded by Bari Trontz and Victoria Protheroe, who after visiting the Peace House Secondary School in Arusha, Tanzania in 2007, launched fundraising initiatives in the New York Metropolitan region.  Their purpose is to encourage and spread awareness surrounding the importance of building sustainable economic growth through education in East Africa for the benefit of AIDS orphans and their local economies.

One hundred percent of the NY Chapter's fundrasing proceeds are applied to the expansion of the Peace House Secondary School to help accommodate more students and support the building of Peace House Institute, an innovative center for post-secondary training, technology research, and business development.

The NY Chapter is an enthusiastic group of professionals from various industries including Financial Services, Real Estate & Design, Media, Entertainment, Fashion & Beauty, among others and are committed to helping raise the visibility of Peace House's cause through charity benefits and other innovative activities.
